Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the project leader in research on childhood apraxia of speech diagnosis.
- Recruit human subjects and perform data collection.
- Conduct data analysis including ultrasound tongue imaging, acoustic analysis, and IPA transcription of Cantonese.
- Assist in literature review and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master's degree or good honours degree in Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or related disciplines.
- Experience working with individuals with speech and/or language disorders.
- Basic knowledge in phonetics and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficiency in SPSS, R, Microsoft Office, and strong teamwork and organisational skills.
- Preference given to native Cantonese speakers or those familiar with Cantonese.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — four months initially, with possibility of further appointment.
