Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement affective intelligence and conversational agent models for emotion understanding and personalized emotional support.
Build interactive prototypes and experimental environments for the research project.
Conduct experiments, analyze results, and evaluate the effectiveness of developed models and systems.
Draft and revise research papers, and prepare technical reports and project deliverables.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the project leader or Head of Unit.

Honours degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline.
Research experience in natural language processing, affective computing, or conversational AI.
Excellent English academic writing skills with at least one publication at a top-tier AI or HCI conference or journal.
Strong Python programming skills, familiarity with deep learning frameworks, and experience with API integration, version control, and multimodal data processing.
Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and in teams.
Preferred: Experience with Large Language Models, emotional support dialogue systems, or interactive XR/AR development using Unity or Unreal Engine.
