Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate ongoing independent and collaborative research projects.
- Initiate new independent and collaborative research projects.
- Generate peer-reviewed publications from research findings.
- Apply for competitive research grants.
- Supervise junior staff and students.
- Undertake teaching duties.
- Handle operational and administrative duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, computer science, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrate proven track record in mathematical transmission modelling and infectious disease epidemiology.
- Show expertise in analysing large and complex datasets and integrating artificial intelligence in public health research.
- Possess publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrate research interest in infections in vulnerable healthcare settings (e.g., antimicrobial resistance, COVID-19, influenza).
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with track record in disseminating research findings.
- Show strong dedication to research excellence, mentorship, responsibility, and team spirit.
- Have competency in managing large-scale study cohorts (advantageous).
Appointment
- Full-time contract for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement.
