Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and integrate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning methods with earthquake seismology research.
Recognize precursory patterns before major earthquakes and synthesize kinematic and dynamic rupture processes.
Actively submit research grants to funding agencies including Hong Kong Research Grants Council and National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Collaborate closely with Prof. Hongfeng Yang and other faculty members within the department and beyond.
Teach courses upon mutual interest, though teaching is not strictly required.

Possess a Ph.D. in seismology or computer science.
Demonstrate a strong track record in research.
Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
Not a CUHK PhD graduate who has not worked elsewhere for at least 2 years after obtaining the doctorate.
Not a current CUHK employee in any capacity.
