Duties & Responsibilities

Investigate molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases including protein aggregation, autophagy impairment, and neuroinflammation.
Lead development of novel therapeutic agents and drug candidates targeting neurodegenerative pathways.
Design brain-targeting drug delivery systems such as engineered exosomes or nanocarriers.
Apply single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Conduct translational research using transgenic models and molecular biology techniques.
Discover and optimize lead compounds from natural products and Chinese herbal medicine.
Collaborate with international partners and industry to translate research into clinical applications.
Secure competitive research grants, publish in high-impact journals, and supervise postgraduate researchers.

PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Chinese Medicine, or related discipline.
Strong publication record in neurodegenerative research with experience in animal models (PD/AD).
Proficiency in molecular biology, single-cell multi-omics, or advanced imaging techniques.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and secure external funding.

Fixed-term contract for up to three years with possibility of re-appointment by mutual agreement.
