Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological research focused on COVID-19/influenza epidemiology and control to inform evidence-based policies.
- Develop independent research programmes and write scientific publications, grant proposals, and reports.
- Teach public health courses in infectious diseases, epidemiology, and biostatistics.
- Supervise junior research staff and students in inquiry-based learning.
- Perform administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H., or equivalent) in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or related discipline.
- Demonstrate evidence of international recognition and scholarship.
- Show ability to work across disciplines on new research initiatives.
- Possess strong track record of high-quality publications and secured external grants.
- Display commitment to engaging postgraduate students in inquiry-based learning.
Appointment
- Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
