Research Assistant Professor (to be seconded to GBAICTI as its Chief Data Scientist)

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the scientific and methodological core of the Real-World Study and Application Centre.
Provide scientific leadership in designing, executing, and analyzing real-world evidence studies.
Oversee development and validation of common data models and data integration platforms for healthcare research.
Ensure analytical methodologies are robust, reproducible, and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Lead exploration and application of innovative analytical approaches.
Manage a team of data scientists and business intelligence professionals.
Collaborate with the Data Scientist (AI) to integrate advanced AI/ML techniques into the real-world evidence pipeline.

PhD in Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in epidemiology, data management, programming, and statistics at supervisory level (preferred).
Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, or similar tools.
Experience with big data platforms, machine learning, and data warehousing.
Excellent leadership, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and self-motivated.
