Research Coordinator (at the rank of Research Assistant I/II)

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct original research on ASEAN studies, Chinese political leadership and governance, or AI methods for social science.
Work on projects aligned with the Centre's research priorities.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Centre.

Bachelor's degree from a reputable university, preferably in political science, international relations, economics, or related discipline.
Demonstrated understanding of Chinese politics, economy, society, China-U.S. relations, and international affairs, particularly ASEAN countries.
Excellent written and spoken command of English and Chinese.
Good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Priority given to Ph.D. candidates who have passed qualifying exams and are writing dissertations.
Ability to obtain legal right to work and reside in Hong Kong; visa and work authorization provided.

Full-time, temporary contract for 1 year with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
