Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and lead hands-on marine science workshops for middle and high school students using real research equipment and methods.
  • Develop educational modules and outreach materials that translate ocean research findings into accessible content for young learners.
  • Provide training and support to K-12 teachers on incorporating marine science and inquiry-based learning into classrooms.
  • Organise student research projects, science fairs, and coastal fieldwork experiences that empower hands-on learning.
  • Collaborate with researchers to communicate their work to schools, communities, and the public.
  • Evaluate the impact of outreach programmes on student interest, knowledge, and attitudes toward science and conservation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record in curriculum innovation, teacher mentoring, and student-centered programme development.
  • Strong interest in science education, environmental awareness, and youth empowerment.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to learn new content and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Grant writing, partnership development, or project management experience is advantageous.
