Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage usage, booking and maintenance of core facilities including molecular biology, cell biology, omics and tissue culture labs.
- Oversee Faculty animal research facilities and their operations.
- Develop standard operating procedures and ensure user compliance.
- Co-ordinate major services to research groups and safety-related matters.
- Supervise and train research support staff.
- Assist in formulating strategic plans for the Faculty and Institute.
- Handle research deliverables and manage new projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD degree in a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of post-doctoral scientific research experience.
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory management and institutional administration.
- Solid background in molecular biology, cell biology, animal experimentation or related techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, independent and able to work under pressure.
- Good computer literacy.
- Certified copies of academic qualification documents required.
Appointment
- Full-time; 2-year contract with gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement; commencing as soon as possible.
