Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the team in executing routine and special financial tasks including statutory reports, budgets, and consolidation packages.
- Steer timely submission of financial statements and reports for university-owned subsidiaries across Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and international locations.
- Stay abreast of accounting standards, group policies and local legislation, advising senior management on implications.
- Serve as major contact point with auditors and tax consultants for compliance with financial, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Lead review of existing policies and procedures to enhance internal controls over subsidiary operations.
- Lead establishment and execution of new initiatives collaborating on strategic budgeting, policy formulation and accounting treatments.
- Oversee administrative duties including company secretarial matters of subsidiaries.
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations and reporting workflows.
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team fostering professional growth.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned and occasional travel to Chinese Mainland may be required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as HKICPA or ACCA is required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant financial management experience with at least 5 years in senior supervisory or managerial role overseeing multi-regional operations.
- Proven experience managing accounting, auditing, and financial reporting for subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and international locations.
- Extensive knowledge of Chinese Mainland accounting standards, tax regulations and auditing practices with cross-border compliance familiarity.
- Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards and group consolidation processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead and develop diverse finance teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with business intelligence tools such as QlikView.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning systems, particularly Oracle Financials, is highly advantageous.
- Strong sense of responsibility, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently under pressure.

Appointment
- Full-time fixed-term contracts for 3 years (Senior Finance Manager) or 2 years (Finance Manager), with possibility of renewal.
