Senior Finance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead a team in resource planning, budgetary control, and financial management for assigned faculties and academic units.
Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making processes across faculties and academic units.
Identify finance transformation opportunities and drive process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
Supervise team management of research project accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to funding bodies.
Prepare and coordinate financial reports and analysis in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare management reports for budget review exercises to facilitate senior management decisions.
Review and update the University's financial policies, procedures, workflows, and manuals.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with at least 12 years' post-qualification experience.
Minimum 7 years' experience at managerial level, preferably in universities or large organizations.
Professional qualification from HKICPA or recognized professional accounting body; MBA or advanced degree advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with commitment and responsibility.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with ability to drive change.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business intelligence systems like QlikView/Qlik Sense.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials or system implementation experience advantageous.
Ability to manage details, meet deadlines, and work under pressure with self-motivation.
