Senior Finance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead a team in resource planning, budgetary control, and financial management for assigned faculties and academic units.
Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making across faculties in accordance with established policies.
Identify and support finance transformation opportunities and drive process improvement initiatives.
Supervise the team in managing research project accounts and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to funding bodies.
Review and coordinate preparation of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare management reports for budget review exercises to facilitate senior management decisions.
Review and update the University's financial policies, procedures, workflows, and manuals related to financial operations.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with at least 12 years' post-qualification experience, preferably in universities or large organisations.
Minimum 7 years at managerial level.
Professional qualification from HKICPA or recognised professional accounting bodies.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and QlikView/Qlik Sense or similar business intelligence systems.
MBA or advanced degree is advantageous; hands-on experience with Oracle Financials or system implementation is advantageous.

Full-time fixed-term contract for 3 years, with possibility of renewal; commencement as soon as possible.
