Senior IT Officer (System Administrator)

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage, design, implement, and maintain the university's IT infrastructure including virtual machines, servers, and storage systems.
Oversee administrative tasks for Active Directory, DNS, Linux, email systems, and database servers.
Address security vulnerabilities through system hardening and patch management.
Manage incident response processes and develop disaster recovery plans.
Conduct product evaluations and prepare specifications for new system deployments.
Plan, implement, and maintain server rooms and data centers.
Monitor IT systems daily and proactively identify and address potential issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals.

Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in Windows infrastructure, VMware, Active Directory, Linux, DNS, and DHCP.
Proficiency in Linux, web-based open-source environments, Windows PowerShell, and Linux Shell scripting.
Ability to work as a team player and independently, with prompt incident response capability.
RHCE, LPI, or MCSE certification preferred.
Familiarity with system security and data protection best practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
