Senior IT Technician/ IT Technician in the HKU Tech Landmark

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee full-lifecycle rollout, maintenance, and technical support for office automation systems and facility booking platforms.
Deliver specialist technical guidance and round-the-clock support for PC and server software/hardware deployment, backups, updates, and disaster recovery.
Provide comprehensive AV and IT technical support to facilitate research and teaching activities.
Ensure full compliance with Information Security & Data Management governance standards.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of full-time professional experience in IT management, technical support, and system solution deployment.
Expertise in office automation systems, digital booking/charging systems, user account administration, and network infrastructure management.
Hands-on proficiency in virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and experience with P2V migration and virtual machine lifecycle management.
Experience in web application development, database design, administration, performance tuning, and system integration.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
Industry certifications (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, JNTCP-EX, CCNA, Crestron) are advantageous.

Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance; includes contract-end gratuity and University retirement benefits contribution up to 10% of basic salary.
