Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee and implement a comprehensive occupational health and safety reporting system.
  • Administer the recording system for all reported incidents and occurrences.
  • Establish risk assessment methodology with defined ratings and criteria for systematic analysis.
  • Conduct and advise on risk assessments based on identified occupational hazards.
  • Recommend and execute mitigation strategies to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Analyse records and prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate system effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety reporting.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised degree in Engineering, Science or Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Possess corporate membership of a relevant professional institution in occupational health and safety or equivalent.
  • Have at least 7 years' relevant post-qualification experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in educational institutions or major organisations.
  • Preferably hold a Registered Safety Officer or Safety Auditor qualification from the Labour Department or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate sound management capability and ability to work independently.
  • Possess good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills at all levels.
  • Be proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
