Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct literature reviews and develop theoretical frameworks in criminology, trauma-informed practice, and support services for justice-involved older adults.
Perform mixed-methods research including quasi-experimental studies and focus group discussions under PI supervision.
Assist with Social Return on Investment evaluation and conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using appropriate software.
Collaborate with funders and community partners on knowledge translation and support project management, ethics applications, and report preparation.

Master's degree in social sciences (Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or related fields), or Bachelor's degree with substantial research experience.
Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods with demonstrated experience in focus groups, interviews, and economic evaluations.
Proficiency in statistical software (STATA, SPSS, R) and qualitative analysis software (NVivo).
Fluency in written and spoken English; Cantonese proficiency is advantageous.

Full-time — Contract for one year with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
