Duties & Responsibilities
- Join a research project on early detection of psychosocial distress in young people using speech analytics.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator and research team on acoustic and linguistic analysis.
- Perform research-related duties as assigned by the principal investigator.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Senior Research Assistant: Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field plus one year post-master's work experience, or a doctoral degree.
- Research Assistant I: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience with statistical analysis using R; familiarity with Python, Svelte, JavaScript/Node.js, or Gradio is advantageous.
- Strong foundation in machine learning and experience deploying Large Language Models.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese) with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure; immediate availability preferred.
Appointment
- Full-time — 12 months with possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
