Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in research related to influenza and COVID-19 in Hong Kong.
- Conduct statistical analysis, modelling, machine learning, and simulations.
- Perform literature review and data cleaning.
- Prepare publications and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, computational biology or related disciplines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Essential knowledge of quantitative skills and statistical analysis.
- Highly preferred: experience in data analysis, infectious disease epidemiology, and proficiency in R, C++, Matlab, or Python.
- 3+ years' relevant experience may qualify applicants for Senior Research Assistant position.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — one-year temporary term with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
