Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with research on influenza and COVID-19 in Hong Kong.
- Conduct statistical analysis, modelling, machine learning, and simulations.
- Perform literature reviews and data cleaning.
- Prepare publications and reports.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, computational biology, or related fields.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- Essential: knowledge of quantitative skills and statistical analysis.
- Preferred: experience in data analysis, infectious disease epidemiology, and proficiency in R, C++, Matlab, or Python.
- Senior Research Assistant level: 3+ years of relevant experience.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — one-year temporary term with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
