Duties & Responsibilities

Lead technical operations and facility management of the Kai Tak campus housed in a Grade 1 historic building.
Supervise junior technical staff and provide continuous professional on-the-job training across multiple studios.
Conduct regular inspections of campus facilities and large equipment, maintaining updated safety protocols.
Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of annual renovation projects with budget control.
Provide technical support and assist with in-class demonstrations to ensure safe and efficient facility operation.
Source tools and materials for visual arts study, monitor budgets, and maintain equipment inventory.
Collaborate with faculty on studio reorganization to create safe, inclusive, and creative learning environments.

Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Engineering, or related field; Higher Diploma or Professional Certificate accepted with equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrable practical experience in studio/workshop operation and equipment.
Expertise in heavy fabrication areas including 3D printing, prototyping, sculpture, woodworking, metal working, welding, and plasma cutting.
Supplementary knowledge in digital fabrication technologies.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with commitment to fostering safety culture.
