Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and provide technical support to researchers and staff.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Prepare and analyze samples, perform quality control tests, and record experimental data accurately.
- Assist in developing and implementing laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with researchers to optimize experimental procedures and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Liaise with commercial parties, external contractors, and Estate Office for purchases and maintenance works.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of solid work experience in biological sciences or related laboratory science discipline.
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with transgenic mice, molecular biology, virus preparation, imaging, or in vivo physiology techniques is advantageous.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract for 2 years with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance; contract-end gratuity and University contribution to retirement benefits scheme (up to 10% of basic salary); commencement as soon as possible.
