Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer in the Department of Geography (Ref. 537374)

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of wet labs in the department.
Adjust, calibrate, and ensure proper function of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Provide technical support to faculty, researchers, and students in using laboratory equipment for teaching, learning, and research.
Assist with field trips and lab work as requested by faculty members.
Maintain accurate records of lab equipment and research findings.
Stay updated on relevant technologies and industry best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field; Master's degree is highly desirable.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role; candidates with less experience may apply for Technical Officer position.
Demonstrated expertise in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Chinese and English.
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Valid driving licenses for private cars (Class 1) and light goods vehicles (Class 2) are advantageous.

Full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years with possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance.
