Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in developing and implementing LASEC policies and advancing the animal care programme.
- Supervise the Veterinary Team to ensure excellence in animal welfare and surgical/medical best practices.
- Administer an animal care and use programme aligned with AAALAC International standards.
- Supervise Animal Technicians to ensure daily husbandry and technical tasks meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert instruction, anaesthesia support, and specialised training to the research community.
- Oversee and provide emergency veterinary coverage as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a professional Bachelor's degree in veterinary-related disciplines.
- Be a registered Veterinary Surgeon in Hong Kong with a valid Practising Certificate.
- Have at least 10 years' post-registration relevant work experience at senior or management level.
- Possess deep knowledge and proven experience in laboratory animal medicine.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Appointment
- Full-time, 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity; renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
