Software Engineer (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant)

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML-powered health solutions including data pipelines, models, and applications.
Implement and maintain large-scale databases, APIs, data governance, and privacy compliance systems.
Integrate software with biomedical hardware devices using BLE, USB/UART, and related protocols.
Provide technical consultation to users and project teams on AI/digital health system development.
Prepare technical documentation and deployment pipelines.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to users and project teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
At least 3 years' post-qualification hands-on experience developing and deploying production-grade software, including mobile and web applications.
Solid experience with machine learning, AI frameworks, model development lifecycle, and big data management.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary, academic, clinical, and industry teams.
Familiarity with ReactJS/Next.js, Swift, Kotlin, PHP, MySQL, healthcare data systems, and cloud deployment is advantageous.

Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with contract-end gratuity and up to 10% University retirement benefits contribution; renewal possible subject to funding and performance.
