Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee planning and administration of the STEM Internship Scheme funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission.
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines and programme requirements.
- Manage job applications, student vetting, scheme monitoring, and system administration.
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders including employers, faculty, students, and the ITC on internship matters.
- Collect stakeholder feedback and advise students on internship opportunities and application processes.
- Support budget administration, financial reporting, and processing of reimbursements and allowances.
- Assist in developing internship-related initiatives and services for students.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and undertake other assigned duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- University degree with at least five years of work experience.
- Preferably experience in project management or career services in tertiary institutions or large corporations.
- Familiarity with government-funded or university-wide programmes is an asset.
- Experience in employer outreach and partnership development is desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset towards process enhancement and service improvement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of the local employment market and awareness of industry trends.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and webpage design/social media marketing is advantageous.
Appointment
- Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance; includes contract end gratuity and 10% University contribution to retirement benefit scheme.
