Systems Analyst (Web) (ITO)

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support backend components for university web services and WordPress platforms.
Maintain and optimize MySQL databases including performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
Support WordPress plugin development, customization, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
Develop and integrate APIs for web applications, third-party systems, and internal services.
Monitor website stability, scalability, and performance through troubleshooting and technical improvements.
Assist with cloud-based hosting and deployment tasks in Microsoft Azure environments.
Apply security best practices in system design, access control, and vulnerability mitigation.
Participate in stress testing, load testing, and performance validation.
Collaborate with frontend, infrastructure, and content teams on web solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in backend development, database administration, or web application support.
WordPress plugin development experience.
