Duties & Responsibilities

Assist academic staff in operating the Modular Integrated Construction, Construction Informatics, and Transportation Analytics Laboratories for research projects.
Provide technical support for IT matters, research postgraduate students, events, and ad-hoc assignments.
Perform on-the-job training on equipment operation as provided.
Work outside normal office hours on rare occasions as required.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Hands-on experience in assembling and installing smart construction technologies (virtual/augmented reality, IoT sensing, laser scanning, 3D reconstruction, smart crane, construction robotics).
Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java.
Three or more years of related working experience in smart construction and transportation (preferred).
Knowledge in programming, electronic engineering, and mechatronics engineering (helpful).
Proficiency in MS Office and general computer applications.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
Self-motivated, responsible, well-organized, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.

Fixed-term contract for two years with possibility of renewal; commencement April 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter; includes contract-end gratuity and University retirement benefit contribution up to 10% of basic salary.
