Technician (carrying the job title of ‘Book Design and Production Supervisor’)

Duties & Responsibilities

Create design solutions for book covers and interiors.
Oversee production of approximately 60 new publications and backlist titles annually.
Deliver design plans for the press website and promotional materials including posters, flyers, and souvenirs.
Manage workflow of multiple book projects and supervise 3 in-house production/design staff.
Coordinate with editorial, marketing teams, printers, freelance designers, and other departments.

Hold a Higher Diploma/Certificate in Design, preferably with a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
Possess at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in InDesign and other design software applications.
Command good English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
Show time-consciousness, patience, attention to detail, and collaborative abilities.
Possess supervisory skills to manage in-house staff and freelancers.

Full-time contract for 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
