Technician (Music Technology)

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and maintain audio and recording systems for classes and events.
Manage equipment inventory with documentation of usage, maintenance, and repairs.
Collaborate on design and construction of recording studios, control rooms, and sound booths.
Supervise projects with the Assistant Professor to ensure quality control.
Assist in demonstrations, laboratory classes, and provide software and hardware support to students.
Support departmental events including concerts and workshops with technical delivery.
Stay updated on latest trends and technologies in music production.

Hold a recognised Diploma or Higher Certificate in a relevant discipline.
Have at least 2 years' relevant work experience in music technology or sound engineering.
Demonstrate proficiency in digital audio workstations and music production software.
Show familiarity with various audio and recording equipment.
Be proficient in Windows PC and Mac operating systems.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese.
Possess ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and work in team-oriented environments.
