Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews and identify research gaps in video-based point cloud compression.
- Design and implement enhancement algorithms for image and video processing.
- Develop experimental protocols and perform objective/subjective evaluations with statistical analysis.
- Analyze results, ensure reproducibility through code and datasets, and mentor undergraduates as needed.
- Contribute to draft papers, prepare presentations, and submit publications.
- Perform other research-related activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline (for Research Assistant II level).
- Master's degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline (for Research Assistant I level).
- Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, and effective organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in machine learning algorithms and Python programming.
