Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Physical Geography

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct high-impact, internationally recognised interdisciplinary research in physical geography addressing environmental change and Earth surface systems.
Publish consistently in top-tier, peer-reviewed international journals.
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and contribute to curriculum development.
Supervise MPhil and PhD research students.
Collaborate interdisciplinarily across departmental research themes and with external partners.
Contribute to departmental service, administration, and knowledge exchange activities.

Hold a PhD in Geography, Earth System Science, Environmental Science, or closely related discipline.
Demonstrate strong expertise in physical geography (e.g., climate change, biogeography, hydrology, land surface processes).
Have a strong record of publications in reputable international peer-reviewed journals.
Demonstrate experience in, or clear potential for, securing competitive research grants.
Show expertise in or clear potential for applying artificial intelligence to environmental challenges.
