Duties & Responsibilities

Lead teaching, research, and clinical programs to the highest standards across assigned departments.
Foster academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty and University.
Pursue new strategic directions for departmental development.
May be assigned duties at hospitals and clinics affiliated with HKU Health System.

Specialist registration with Hong Kong Medical Council or eligibility for Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Certification.
Preferably hold MD, MS, or PhD qualification.
Distinguished record of high-quality, impactful research with publications and competitive grants.
Demonstrated clinical excellence and international recognition for scholarship and expertise.
Evidence of excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Preference given to candidates with administrative leadership experience in universities or healthcare settings.

Full-time, four-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before expiry of second four-year contract; exceptional candidates for Clinical Professor may be considered for tenure-track appointment.
