Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and expert guidance on veterinary cases, surgical protocols, and anesthesia programs.
- Supervise and mentor the veterinary team of one Senior Veterinarian and two Veterinarians II.
- Oversee preventative medicine and health surveillance programs for high-health-status research environments.
- Manage daily workflows and workforce deployment while ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations.
- Direct institutional preparations for AAALAC accreditation submission and lead the Post-Approval Monitoring program.
- Deputise for the Director on committees and strategic planning while leading emergency preparedness and biosecurity protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of administrative and operational experience.
- Veterinary qualification registrable in Hong Kong or PhD in laboratory science with laboratory animal management experience.
- Documented professional development in laboratory animal science, welfare standards, and health monitoring.
- Proven managerial and supervisory experience in a laboratory animal facility or regulated biomedical research environment.
- Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
- Practical operational familiarity with AAALAC accreditation framework is highly advantageous.
