Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach Media Art at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including emerging areas like bio art, space art, and AI-based art.
- Advise postgraduate research students and contribute to curriculum development.
- Maintain an active research profile and seek external grants to support research.
- Provide service to School and University governance.
- Contribute to professional engagement, networking, and outreach activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Media Art, Computational Art, Bioart, Art and Technology, Digital Media, Artistic Research, or closely related field.
- Expertise in emerging areas of media art practice including bio art, space art, AI-based art, or other frontier technologies.
- Knowledge of media art discourse, interdisciplinary practices, digital media, and art-science/art-technology collaborations.
- Publication record appropriate to rank, complemented by exhibition record, successful research projects, and grant applications.
- For Professor/Chair Professor: distinguished qualifications and strong record in scholarship, teaching, research, and academic leadership with administrative experience.
- For Associate Professor: outstanding scholarly achievements in teaching and research with strong grant securing record.
- For Assistant Professor: solid record or demonstrated potential in teaching and research.
