Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct internationally competitive and impactful research in AI, ML, data science applied to environmental engineering.
- Develop innovative research directions and secure external research funding.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline.
- Supervise master's and doctoral research students.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration within the School and across the University.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer, industry collaboration, and community engagement.
- Undertake administrative duties to support the School's development and operation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, computer science, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline.
- Strong and relevant research record or research potential in applying AI/ML to environmental problems.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
- For senior levels: outstanding research track record, international reputation, and demonstrated academic leadership experience.
- For Associate Professor: sustained record of high-impact publications and successful grant acquisition with ability to lead independent research.
- For Assistant Professor: potential for high-impact publication and competitive grant capture with clear plan to establish independent research programme.
