Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct world-class research in composite/smart structures, advanced structural analysis, and computational mechanics.
- Teach and mentor students in structural engineering with emphasis on structural performance under extreme loadings.
- Provide academic leadership within the department and contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering or closely related field required at time of appointment.
- Strong research track record in composite/smart structures demonstrated through publications, grants, or industry projects.
- Proficiency in FEM software (ABAQUS, ANSYS, SAP2000) and coding languages (Python/MATLAB).
- Professional engineering licensure (HKIE/CEng) or eligibility preferred; international reputation required for Professor level or above.
Appointment
