Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research using machine learning and artificial intelligence for subsurface rock characterization and tunnel boring machine applications.
- Report progress and disseminate findings through academic journals, conferences, and industry collaborations.
- Undertake project management and solve challenges in subsurface space characterization and tunnel construction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Data Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from top 100 ranked institutions.
- Strong background in data analysis, artificial intelligence, geotechnical characterization, or underground construction with relevant research experience and publications.
- Preferred skills include problem-solving ability, excellent communication, and programming expertise.
Appointment
- Full-time, 12 months with possibility of extension (4 posts available)
