Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research in Philosophy with potential focus on Confucianism, ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, or religion.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and develop undergraduate courses.
- Maintain a strong publication record appropriate to career stage.
- Obtain competitive external funding (particularly for Associate Professor and Professor ranks).
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy or related field.
- Strong publication record appropriate to career stage.
- Commitment to excellence in research and teaching.
- Research background in Confucianism and/or expertise in ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, or religion preferred but not required.
Appointment
- Full-time; Initial appointment at Assistant Professor rank on three-year renewable contract; Associate Professor and Professor positions on substantiation-track basis.
