Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research in Philosophy with potential focus on Confucianism, ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, or religion.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and maintain a strong publication record.
- Teach undergraduate courses and contribute to the Division's academic mission.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in Philosophy or related field.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in research and teaching appropriate to career stage.
- For Associate Professor/Professor level: record of obtaining competitive external funding is advantageous.
- Research background in Confucianism or expertise in ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, or religion is preferred but not required.
Appointment
- Full-time, substantive-track position; initial Assistant Professor appointments are three-year renewable contracts.
