Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research in Philosophy with possible focus on Confucianism, ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, or religion.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching at undergraduate level.
- Maintain a strong publication record appropriate to career stage.
- Obtain competitive external funding (particularly for Associate Professor and Professor ranks).
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy or related field.
- Strong commitment to research and teaching excellence.
- Research background in Confucianism and/or expertise in ethics, bioethics, moral philosophy, religion, or contemporary areas (advantageous but not required).
- Record of obtaining competitive external funding (required for Associate Professor and Professor levels).
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses and demonstrate teaching performance.
Appointment
- Full-time; Assistant Professor appointments are normally on a three-year renewable contract with gratuity upon successful completion.
