Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge materials research focused on biomedical, energy, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing priorities.
- Teach MSEI and related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop strong, independent, and externally funded research programs.
- Nurture future leaders through rigorous interdisciplinary education and mentorship.
- Promote innovation and entrepreneurship to translate research into commercial applications.
- Participate actively in service to the Department, School, and University.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, or a closely related engineering field.
- Demonstrate capacity to develop independent and innovative research programs.
- Show ability to teach effectively across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Research interests aligned with materials for health, energy, sustainability, advanced modeling, or AI-empowered materials synthesis.
Appointment
- Full-time; tenure-track positions at all ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor); start date Fall 2026.
