Manager (Mainland Research Funding)

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage Mainland research funding opportunities including NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme, MOST schemes, and Guangdong/Shenzhen GBA schemes.
Monitor and disseminate calls, guidelines and policy developments from NSFC, MOST and Mainland funding bodies.
Provide end-to-end support for applications from briefing applicants through coordinating submissions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial, procurement, ethics and audit requirements in both Mainland and Hong Kong.
Build relationships with IRACE, NSFC Office, MOST, RGC and Mainland collaborating institutions.
Maintain records and management reports on Mainland funding applications, awards and outcomes.

Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in higher education or research sector.
Direct experience with Mainland research funding schemes strongly preferred.
Sound understanding of research funding, financial, ethics and data-governance regimes in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Excellent written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and good written and spoken English.
Strong project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and with diverse stakeholders.

Full-time, fixed-term contract for two years with potential re-appointment subject to mutual agreement.
