Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage Mainland research funding opportunities including NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme, MOST schemes, and Guangdong/Shenzhen GBA schemes.
- Monitor and disseminate calls, guidelines and policy developments from NSFC, MOST and Mainland funding bodies.
- Provide end-to-end support for applications from briefing applicants through coordinating submissions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial, procurement, ethics and audit requirements in both Mainland and Hong Kong.
- Build relationships with IRACE, NSFC Office, MOST, RGC and Mainland collaborating institutions.
- Maintain records and management reports on Mainland funding applications, awards and outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in higher education or research sector.
- Direct experience with Mainland research funding schemes strongly preferred.
- Sound understanding of research funding, financial, ethics and data-governance regimes in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
- Excellent written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and good written and spoken English.
- Strong project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and with diverse stakeholders.
Appointment
- Full-time, fixed-term contract for two years with potential re-appointment subject to mutual agreement.
