Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Mainland research funding opportunities including NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme, MOST schemes, and Guangdong/Shenzhen GBA schemes.
  • Monitor and disseminate calls, guidelines and policy developments from NSFC, MOST and Mainland funding bodies.
  • Provide end-to-end support for applications from briefing applicants through coordinating submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial, procurement, ethics and audit requirements in both Mainland and Hong Kong.
  • Build relationships with IRACE, NSFC Office, MOST, RGC and Mainland collaborating institutions.
  • Maintain records and management reports on Mainland funding applications, awards and outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in higher education or research sector.
  • Direct experience with Mainland research funding schemes strongly preferred.
  • Sound understanding of research funding, financial, ethics and data-governance regimes in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
  • Excellent written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and good written and spoken English.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and with diverse stakeholders.

Appointment

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract for two years with potential re-appointment subject to mutual agreement.
