Duties & Responsibilities
- Review CBDC architectures and identify financial crime, security, and privacy risks.
- Develop threat models and mitigation strategies for money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, and illicit financing.
- Build research prototypes and evaluate detection methods using blockchain or synthetic transaction data.
- Review academic, regulatory, and industry developments related to CBDCs and digital assets.
- Prepare research reports, publications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with researchers in criminology, cryptography, blockchain, cybersecurity, finance, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cryptography, Blockchain Technology, or closely related discipline.
- Strong academic background and demonstrated research capability.
- Good analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work responsibly, independently, and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
- Senior Research Assistant: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' post-qualification experience, or Master's degree plus 1 year's experience.
- Postdoctoral Fellow: PhD degree in related disciplines or equivalent.
