Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic literature reviews on macroprudential policy, financial development, and economic growth.
- Collect, clean, and merge time-series and panel data from multiple sources.
- Implement empirical analyses using econometric techniques such as event studies and panel regressions.
- Build reproducible code and documentation using version control systems.
- Draft memos, figures, and tables for working papers and presentations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current Master's/PhD student or strong final-year undergraduate in economics, finance, public policy, data science, or related field.
- Solid econometrics skills and experience with Stata, R, or Python.
- Proven data cleaning and merging skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong research writing ability in English.
- Experience with time-series econometrics methods such as VAR/SVAR or ARDL.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong's financial system and HKMA publications (preferred).
- Ability to read Chinese-language policy documents (preferred).
