Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate and validate microscopic traffic simulation models for Hong Kong traffic conditions.
- Develop Web-based transportation analysis and TIA workflow modules including network editing and scenario generation.
- Develop intelligent traffic diagnosis and mitigation scheme generation and evaluation methods.
- Develop transportation databases and AI-assisted workflows for traffic data and TIA report management.
- Analyse real-world transportation data including traffic surveys and vehicle trajectories.
- Prepare research publications, technical reports and project deliverables.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Automation, or related field.
- Strong research background in transportation modelling, traffic simulation or intelligent transportation systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB, Java, JavaScript, R, or related languages.
- Experience in analysing real-world transportation data or developing transportation-related models/software.
- Strong analytical, communication and academic writing skills.
