Duties & Responsibilities
- Accompany research team members to elderly care homes and community centres to conduct field tests of a multimodal recommendation application.
- Assist elderly participants and users in testing the application and explain testing procedures in Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Communicate patiently with elderly participants and provide assistance during application use.
- Collect user feedback, survey responses, and research data during field tests.
- Record issues encountered by participants and report them to the research team.
- Assist with coordination and organisation of field-testing activities and support other research tasks as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate student at the university, able to work part-time.
- Fluency in both Cantonese and Mandarin is essential.
- Patience, willingness to communicate with elderly participants, and a responsible, friendly, respectful attitude.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with sufficient availability and flexibility for field visits.
- Ability to follow research protocols, handle participant information responsibly, and work effectively with research team members.
- Previous experience in volunteering, elderly care, community service, user studies, surveys, or field research is advantageous but not required.
