Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in gender, digitalisation, family change, and family-work interface with focus on China, the United States, Canada, and/or cross-national comparisons.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in leading academic journals.
- Write public-facing articles such as op-eds, policy briefs, or media commentaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Sociology, Demography, Family Studies, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with outstanding publication track record in English-language journals.
- Proficiency in advanced quantitative data analysis using Stata, R, Python, and/or other statistical software.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Experience with computational methods or computational approaches to family and gender research is welcome.
Appointment
- Contract — one year commencing 1 June 2027 or as soon as possible, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
