Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the testing pipeline for infectious disease research, from RNA extraction to phylogenetic analysis.
- Investigate pathogens in shelter-housed companion animals focusing on bacterial, viral, and fungal agents.
- Conduct molecular biology research as part of a veterinary infectious diseases team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field required; PhD holders may be considered for Postdoctoral Fellow appointment.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools such as Bowtie2, Megahit, Sortmerna, MAFT, and IQ-TREE is strongly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and scientific writing skills with strong work ethic, teamwork ability, and problem-solving capacity.
