Duties & Responsibilities

Develop advanced AI and machine learning methodologies for industrial process monitoring and optimization.
Design and develop industrial edge intelligence architectures with real-time processing and cloud integration.
Investigate and implement technology stacks for industrial AI applications including IoT platforms and deployment pipelines.
Develop scalable computational models for integrating heterogeneous industrial data sources.
Prepare project documentation, research proposals, publications, and presentations.
Supervise and support junior research staff and students on related projects.

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Strong knowledge and experience in machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, or computational modelling.
Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages with research or industrial software development experience.
Strong research capability, analytical skills, and ability to lead technical development independently.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Preferred: experience in industrial intelligence, smart manufacturing, edge computing, or data-driven process monitoring.
Advantage: familiarity with Linux systems, networking, containerization, databases, and distributed computing frameworks.
Alternative: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' post-qualification experience, or Master's degree plus 1 year's experience (for Senior Research Assistant level).
