# Duties & Responsibilities

Lead an independent and vigorous research programme in biomedical sciences.
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, medical and general education courses.
Conduct cutting-edge research in one or more of the School's thematic programmes.
Contribute to the School's collaborative research environment with basic and clinical scientists.

Hold a PhD, MD, or DVM degree or equivalent in biological, biomedical sciences or related disciplines.
Demonstrate expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as bioinformatics, multi-omics, proteomics, microscopy, gene editing, or organoids.
Have a competitive publication record in top peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Have a proven track record of securing external research funding.
Research interests in cardiovascular function, neural development, cancer immunotherapy, aging, AI-driven drug discovery, or translational medicine are particularly welcome.

Full-time contract (up to three years initially, with potential for longer-term or tenured appointment subject to performance, funding and mutual agreement).
