Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop advanced energy-saving technologies integrating innovative materials, devices, and systems for intelligent detection and optical modulation.
- Conduct research in smart materials design, optical modulation, and machine learning with applications in energy saving, encryption, and anticounterfeiting.
- Produce top-tier research outputs and secure external competitive grants such as RGC GRF grants.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and university service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Strong track record of research and publications in reputable journals, particularly in smart materials.
- Potential to become an independent researcher capable of obtaining sustained extramural funding and establishing externally-funded research programmes.
Appointment
- Contract — up to three years, renewable subject to performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement.
