Duties & Responsibilities
- Support student practical classes, demonstrations, and laboratory activities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and provide technical support to researchers and staff
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Prepare and analyse samples, perform quality control tests, and accurately record experimental data
- Develop and implement laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures in collaboration with researchers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment
- Liaise with commercial parties for purchases and external contractors for infrastructure maintenance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a postgraduate degree in Pathology and/or Physiology
- At least 2 years of solid work experience in developmental biology or related laboratory science discipline
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with hematopoietic cultures, Drosophila colony management, and advanced imaging techniques is advantageous
Appointment
- Full-time, 2-year fixed-term contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance) with contract-end gratuity and university contribution to retirement benefits scheme up to 10% of basic salary
